The greywater system described in this video misses the mark by a wide margin. It describes a high tech, high cost, high maintenance, and completely unnecessary piece of equipment. Instead of spending over $8000 dollars for something no ones going to want to maintain after a year, they could have installed a simple Laundry to landscape, or Branched Drain System. from their showers for a small fraction of the cost. These sustainable systems would let the mulch basins, around the trees, biologicly filter the water for free, and it would be almost maintainance free instead of changing expensive filters on a regular basis. This video sends a wrong message. It says using greywater is a big hassle and very expensive, when in truth most homeowners could and should be irrigating with greywater cheaply and easily.
