Hello everyone,

You may have read my last blog about a new community outreach organization called Engage 360 that promotes energy conservation and efficiency right here in the Central Valley.  If not, give it a quick read.

We are a movement of Californians, for Californians, trying to accomplish an audacious, though achievable goal, of significantly reducing energy consumption on a statewide level.  If we are going to be successful we'll need to work together, and make energy efficiency a priority in our communities.

You can be a part of this movement by volunteering just a couple hours of your time to helping us reach out to our neighbors in the greater Fresno area about how they can conserve energy (and hopefully save money on their bills in the process).

Our first door-to-door canvass is taking place this Saturday, July 30th, and we need all hands on deck.  Green Fresno is the online community where people who are committed to green-living come together online--but can we also walk the walk (literally)?  Join your fellow green-minded volunteers this Saturday from 10am - 2pm and let's work together to make a real difference in our community!  Here are the details:

Date: Saturday, July 30th

Location: Sierra Bicentennial Park, Clovis (84 N. Sunnyside Ave.)

Time: Arrive at 9:45 AM for a brief training, meet & greet, and then we'll go door to door from 10 - 12 and from 12 - 2pm.

I will have water and snacks available, as well as all the materials you'll need.  It should be a fun and very successful event.  If you're not able to walk for a couple hours at a time, I could also use someone to just hang out at the table in the park for a few hours and watch our stuff/help anyone who comes by late.  That way I can get out on the doors too!
