Why My Current Job: Real estate was all about money; how much you made was how you were perceived. I was near the top of the rankings for a fifteen year stretch, but it was hardly a noble profession. The people you helped, the ones you scratched and clawed for didn't seem to appreciate you as much as the people who paid you well for little or no effort. My current job is a tough sale only because people are A) skeptical of anything that's free and easy and B) most people don't follow through; weeks pass before facility managers will take the time to fill in the one-page lighting form and send the electric bills required for the analysis. Still, if I can walk that fine line between assertive and annoying I can help people help themselves. Most businesses will hold endless meetings to try to enhance the bottom line. Cutting back on paper clips can only save an entity so much money though; eventually jobs must be cut to have a dramatic effect on the budget. However, if I could get everyone to skip those budget meetings in favor of a light fixture count - if they would take the time to email me their energy bills as well - I could help them not only improve their net profits, I could help them save the planet and save a few jobs as well. It's really that simple: email me information and get an energy analysis in return, at no cost. If you like what you see, we'll send an engineer (still at no cost) to your building to do an exact analysis. He'll then explain the program to you, go over terms and then if you like what Energy Smart Industry can save you on a monthly basis you come to terms on who receives which percentage of the savings and the length of the contract. We provide the maintenance for the term of the contract and we provide the LED lighting and retrofit your building. You own the lighting. You receive all of the rebates available. In a nutshell, it's a financing program that allows you to go green without any out-of-pocket expenses. As a comparison, I'll end with this analogy: if you were spending a $800 monthly on gas for your vehicle and I had a device that would not only reduce your emissions, it would cut your gas bill in half (to $400 monthly), would you allow me to install it on your vehicle if I told you the device would last for fifteen years and that for the first five years you would pay me $300 a month if I guaranteed your savings AND told you that you got to keep all of the savings after the five year term was up? That's Energy Smart Industry's Green Lease Management Program...and that was one really long run-on sentence. Contact me at your convenience if you'd like to learn more about our innovative LED lighting program: 303-446-8737; tdeherrera@energysmartindustry.net or thomas.deherrera@gmail.com or just send me a message through Green Fresno.

Welcome to GreenFresno! I was wondering if you attend any of PG&E or Southern Edison's workshops and/or trainings? They have a lot of workshops specifically for Facility Managers, and the ones who attend, are highly motivated and interested in reducing energy costs. You may also be able to work with both utilities, as they are always looking for presenters.... Just a thought!
