- I have lived in Visalia for nearly 18 years, coming here from the Florida Keys. I love California, especially the wilder places (there is so little left of the truly wild...all the more reason we need to protect them). I'm a life time Sierra Club member and my next major goal in life is to get myself into a more self sustainable place. I want to occupy most of my time by growing plants and animals and writing about things that interest me. Sounds like this group would be compatible with those interests. I look forward to corresponding with eveyone! Also, I have been volunteering since 2002 to promote Single Payer Healthcare here in California, and since Obama came to power, nationally. I welcome all discussion on the healthcare issue.
