Hey Brad,
Glad to see you on this website! That is one nice looking rig. Very professional! Tom didn't tell you but the reason he is selling one of the Jettas is he owns an all electric Nissan Leaf...us green Fresnans are, well, green with envy. Another outlet that may be of interest to you is Fresno Earth Day. There is a community of people who put on a super-cool, family friendly show that showcases many different aspects of being good to the earth. There is a planning meeting at the UU Church in Fresno on Monday, the 5th at 6:30 pm. I know you live a ways north, but if you're interested let me know. We had around 1,000 people attend last April. See you around!
Yeah, we're outgrowing the beetle . . .might go up to a passat or the 320CDI Benzo. I do enjoy the old 240 immensely tho . . .just has that certain old leathery classic smell inside.
Oooo, pretty. I like a lot! I have two '02 Jetta TDIs. One of which I am about ready to sell.
Hi Joel,
Yes, your tractor will probably run on waste oil without a lot of modification. It doesn't have emission controls or catalyst, does it? Yes, both grease and biodiesel have shelf life limitations. Biodiesel is good in storage for about 6 months without any special prep. Preservatives are available that push that out to 2 years...yes preservatives, the same thing that keep a twinkie fresh for years. If you are interested in biodiesel, that is my expertise, and your tractor will run on biodiesel as is. We will be having a renewable energy car show at Fresno Earth Day celebration Saturday, 30 April from 11-4. At the UU Church parking lot near Chestnut and Alluvial. There will be biodiesel cars, demonstrations, and waste oil converted cars, as well as a Chevy Volt, electric motorcycle, hybrids, etc. If interested you should come by and bring the family/ a friend. Cheers!
Pete
