Green Fresno

We are blessed with numerous farmers markets & CSA in Fresno area. I've been ordering from Farmer and the Dale http://farmerandthedale.com/index.php for about six months. They now offer a bi-weekly delivery option which is very nice for smaller families. You pick 10 units from the list and they deliver it to your home or work.

On a side note, I noticed that both Vons & Savemart are advertising "locally grown" so they are feeling the pressure. However, in the store, it was very hard to see which produce was local without reading the fine print. I complained :) Always happy to be a busybody.

I have been a satisfied member of the T & d Willey Farms CSA for about 1 1/2 years. http://www.tdwilleyfarms.com/

I pick up my weekly box of organic vegetables at The Market at West/Herndon (http://themarketfresno.com) and have noticed an increase in organic and locally grown produce available for purchase.
I recently signed up for a CSA delivery from Farmer and the Dale. I am extremely impressed with the quality of the produce I received and with their great customer service. CSA is one of the best things I have discovered living here in the Valley. We are very lucky to be able to enjoy a service like CSA. I highly encourage anyone who is thinking of giving CSA a try to do so!!! Support our local farmers! They can't make it any easier for you, with door-to-door deliveries and the ability to choose your produce items online.
