I went by Wilson's Motorcycle this week they are selling the Vetrix Electric Scooter
thought I'd takes a look at it. Hey an Electric Vehicle for sale in Fresno.
It's large for a scooter more like a motorcycle made with scooter type parts.
No one was looking so I took it for a ride.
(riding a scooter is alright until your friends see you)
shhh don't tell on me.
I was surprised its a very well built machine,
it is a scooter ya know
the Vetrix rides nice, handles well, like a motorcycle, I was impressed.
On acceleration I got to 60 real fast, just can't be that fast. Accelerated from a stop again in about 100 yards I'm at 60, no can't be, I can tell can't be that fast. My electric motorcycle accelerates way faster and takes longer to get to 60. I was really wondering? Then I take a closer look at the speedometer
Oh reading kilometers, oh gosh. Accelerating to 40 mph not 60, but gets to 40mph right quick.
The Vetrix does accelerate rapidly 0-50 mpg in 6.8 seconds. Top speed 65 -70
Range city 55 miles below 50 mph, Highway 30 miles at 60 mph
more than enough range to commute to work. The job this of vehicle is as a commuter.
The GREEN feature is its a Zero carbon, Zero Emissions vehicle.
Very energy efficient, 74 watt hours per mile (under 50 mph)
So using no more energy of a light bulb you can ride to work
If you ride 50 minutes, have gone 50 miles on the same energy as running a 75 watt bulb for one hour.
The electric fuel cost is reasonable 88 cents a week,
100 miles a week 20 miles a day.
Compared to $12 a week in my Toyota. I think I would save some change. And no Pollution.
What I really like is the efficiency of an electric vehicle
An electric vehicle is 90% efficient only 10% of energy is lost.
an Internal combustion Engine gas powered car is 20% efficient. 80% of the fuel is wasted
At 6 pounds a gallon 4.8 pounds of unburnt hydrocarbons, Just going out the tailpipe. Thats a lot of pollution.
And economically its terrible at $3 a gallon of gas, $2.40 of my money is going out the tailpipe!
sells for $8,000
- 1,500 CA state rebate
$6,500 upfront cost
- 800 10% Fed tax credit total sale
$5,200 1 year cost
pretty cheap, save money and don't pollute what more could one ask for?
If thats not enough the Vetrix gets the equivalent of 300 miles per gallon.
I don't work there or affiliated, Just like EV's I prefer to build my own.
It's very simple to build an EV if you'd like to find out more about EV's
